Theatre Information
The two year construction project of building the new 450 Hall is now completed, and in September 2009 the 450 Hall was publicly opened by Vince Cable followed by performances of the musical, Oklahoma! (a joint Hampton and Lady Eleanor Holles production). This venue provides outstanding facilities for Drama and Music. The performance hall has been acoustically designed to be adaptable for Drama and Music performances. It seats 386 on retractable and fixed, tiered seating on two levels and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound technology. It is a very versatile space, adaptable for traverse and in-the-round staging. As well as hosting dramatic productions, it will also be used for comedy nights, guest speakers and professional theatre companies. The 450 Hall has its own electronic box office booking system.
